Ещё одна возможность для магистратуры в США по ResEcon Good afternoon colleagues- We are recruiting a M.S. student for a two-year GRA focused on the impact of climate change on risk of water shortages and the evaluation of adaptation policies from both economic and hydrologic perspectives. Students applying to Oregon State University in M.S. degree programs in Applied Economics, Marine Resource Management, or Water Resources Policy and Management beginning the 2020-2021 academic year are eligible for this opportunity.   This interdisciplinary project will focus on increasing understanding of climate change impacts to surface water supply and demand in Oregon Coast communities. Our goals are to characterize potential risks of climate extremes on these water systems without significant storage or groundwater capacity through coupling hydrologic models of stream flows and economic models of water demand. Then, building on co-produced stakeholder strategies, we will create empirically-driven simulations to determine cost-effective policy options that would increase future resilience of these rural coastal water utilities.   Please encourage your top undergraduates interested in real-world applications of economics to consider this opportunity and reach out to me with any questions they may have via email: steven.dundas@oregonstate.edu.    Program Benefits: Two years of GRA stipend, benefits and tuition support. Experience working on interdisciplinary team and a project with substantive stakeholder engagement   Qualifications: B.S. in economics, water resources, natural resources, engineering, or related fields. Preference will be given to highly motivated individuals with strong quantitative and writing skills and demonstrated interest in economic analysis, water resources and climate change.   This project is funded by NOAA’s Coastal & Ocean Climate Applications program and Sectoral Application Research Programs.   Thanks! Steve Dundas
